Annual Student Showcase
One of a Kind STEM Experiences at the WNY STEM Hub Showcase!
A great event that helped the community meet the students and teachers who…
-
designed prosthetic hands for youth in WNY, India and Ghana from our Hand in Hand Project;
-
discovered that computer science is for everyone in our Girls Coding Project (presented in collaboration with the Girl Scouts of WNY) and AT&T’s Coding Your Future Project (presented in collaboration with SUNY Buffalo State and Journey’s End).
-
learned how to build and power robots to create solutions in WNY’s Robotics programs; and
-
developed experiments ready to be tested by astronauts at the International Space Station during our Take Flight – Space Experiments Project.
-
used coding in the classroom – WNY STEM Hub is a Regional Partner of Code.org.
Other STEM providers from organizations such as the WNY Invention Convention, Buffalo Museum of Science and WNY Science Congress – Science & Engineering Fair.
Special guests (that attended in 2018): Regent Dr. Catherine Collins, Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples-Stokes, AT&T’s NY President – Amy Kramer, SUNY leaders and business leaders who endorse the work of these students and teachers.
Thank you to our generous 2018 sponsors. Looking forward to another showcase in 2019!
